In our plots in Morales de Toro and San Román de Hornija we find 3 varietals that give a distinctive and differentiating character to our vineyards. 

A l g i l C r i a n z a

  • Variety: 100% Tinta de Toro (Tempranillo)
  • Vineyards: Vines between 70 and 90 years old, goblet plantation with yields of 3000 kg/Ha, altitude of 700 m.
  • Soil: Poor, stony, pebbly soils
  • Ageing: 12 months in 225-litre French oak barrels, malolactic fermentation in barrels
  • Alcoholic strength: 15º.
  • PH/Acidity: 3,6 / 5.8

A l g i l G a r n a c h a

  • Variety: 100% Garnacha
  • Vineyards: Vines between 50 years old, goblet plantation with yields of 3500 kg/Ha, altitude of 700 m.
  • Soils: Poor, stony soils with pebbles
  • Ageing: 8 months in 225-litre American oak barrels, malolactic fermentation in barrels
  • Alcoholic strength: 14.5º.
  • PH/Acidity: 3,3 / 6,5

A l g i l E x p r e s i ó n

  • Variety: 100% Tinta de Toro (Tempranillo)
  • Vineyards: Vines between 30 and 50 years old, bush vines with yields of 4000 kg/Ha, altitude 700 m.
  • Soils: Poor, sandy soils with subsoil clays
  • Ageing: 6 months in 225-litre French oak barrels, malolactic fermentation in barrels
  • Alcoholic strength: 15º.
  • PH/Acidity: 3.6 / 5.4

A l g i l M a l v a s í a

  • Variety: 100% Castilian Malvasia.
  • Vineyards: Vines between 60 and 80 years old, goblet plantation with yields of 3500 kg/Ha, altitude of 700 m.
  • Soils: Poor, sandy soils with subway clays
  • Aging: 6 months in 225-liter French oak barrels
  • Alcoholic strength: 13.5º.
  • PH/Acidity: 3,1 / 6,5
